Angelika Laumer studied political science in Berlin, Lyon and Mumbai. Her doctoral thesis on everyday remembering and forgetting of Nationalsocialist forced labour includes perspectives of forced laborers' descendants who live in a rural community in Germany. The thesis was accepted in the sociology department at Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen in 2021. Laumer was and is involved in public and audiovisual history projects with _erinnern.at_/Austria, the Berlin Wall Foundation and the Forced Labor Documentation Centre Berlin. She is a researcher on subjective evidence regarding Long COVID at University Hospital/Institute for Medical Humanities Bonn.
